A New Sermon Series Begins

On September 12 we begin a series of messages on 1 Peter. I love this letter. I have wanted to preach on it for years. Now seems to be the right time. The themes of suffering and hope and faith and love ring loud and clear. My goals come from the letter itself.
I pray that we will bless God (1:3) with all our hearts because of what we see here, and that we will rejoice in the fiery testing of our faith (1:3-8), and that we will hope fully in grace (1:13) and that we will have a trembling confidence in our Father-Judge-Redeemer (1:17-19), and that we will not be conformed to this age (1:14), but will love each other fervently from the heart (1:22). And may many be born again by the great mercy of God through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead (1:3). Please pray these biblical goals into reality.
